
SPORTS MEDICINE NOTICE
Our Sports Medics offer their services without any form of financial remuneration, they are Volunteers to Football Bundaberg Inc.
ALL our practicing Sports Medics are required to be Trained and Certified and all carry their Licenses with them. ALL of our Licensed Sports Medics are trained in the following:
Musculo Skeletal System, Anatomical terms, Anatomical movements; Warm-up; Stretching; Cool-downs; Injury Management including soft tissue and rehabilitation. Head & Spinal Injuries; Trunk Injuries; Upper Limb Injuries; Lower Limb Injuries; Environmental Injuries; Taping; Eating for Sports performance; Treating special Medical Conditions including Asthma, Diabetes, Epilepsy, Viral and Heart related conditions. Drugs in Sport; Prevention of Injuries; Crisis Management including CPR, Resuscitation, Bleeding, Asthma, Airway Obstruction.
Hard Tissue injuries including Fractures & Dislocations, Skin Injuries, Moving the Injured Athlete including transportation of Injured Athlete and Extraction from Sports Field of Injured Athlete. Poisoning, Bites and Stings.
Our more advanced Sports Medics and Sports Medicine Practitioner’s are trained in many other areas, including Advanced Resuscitation; Oxygen Therapy; Defibrillator use and administering of Entonox.
Our current Sports Medics and Sports Practitioners are NOT MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS i.e. they are NOT Medical Doctors. The objective of this facility is to administer First Aid and if necessary organise the next level of the chain i.e. Paramedic Assessment and perhaps Transport to Medical Facilities staffed to handle your relative Injury or illness i.e. Hospital, Doctor Surgery etc.

• Jason: Qualified & Currently Licensed Level 1 Sports Medic.
• Kristy-Lee: Qualified & Currently Licensed Level 1 Sports Medic.
• Dean: Qualified & Currently Licensed Level 1 Sports Medic.
• Fiona: Qualified & Currently Licensed Level 1 Sports Medic, Qualified Advanced Resuscitation & Defibulator trained.
• Gail: Qualified & Currently Licensed Level 1 Sports Medic, Qualified Advanced Resuscitation & Defibulator trained.
• Glenda: Qualified & Currently Licensed Level 1 Sports Medic, Qualified Advanced Resuscitation & Defibulator trained.
• Greg: Qualified & Licensed Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Qualified & Currently Licensed Level 2 Advanced Sports Practitioner, Qualified Advanced Resuscitation & Defibulator trained, Licensed Occupational First Aid including Legal issues, First Aid Rooms, Infection Control, Toxic Hazards, Skin Conditions, Medications, Causality Assessment, Industrial Wounds, Burns, Eye Injuries, Chest & Blast Injuries, Abdominal Emergencies, Multiple Causalities, Remote First Aid and Child Birth, Certified administration of Entonox, Qualified in Advanced Principles of Sports Medicine. PLEASE NOTE: Greg Bath in his Profession is a PhD and is titled as Dr. Greg Bath. Greg is NOT a Medical Practitioner (MD) but a Scientist with a Doctorate (PhD). In his Sports Medicine duties it would be appreciated if Greg is not referred to as Dr.

Football Bundaberg Sports Medicine consistently keeps our Sports Medicine people up to date with training and require them to be associated with Sports Medicine Australia so they are up to date with the latest in Sports Medicine techniques and information.
