Football Wide Bay President shock replacement |
At a closed Football Wide Bay meeting on Sunday 22nd June, President, Mr. Tony Jakeman, was replaced by past President Debbie Albion. Mr. Jakeman had been looking to resign for a period of time but did not have an alternative replacement. Mrs. Albion is a very experienced Football Administrator and is also State Chairperson for Juniors. At the meeting on Saturday a number of suitable replacements were put forward with Debbie Albion being chosen as the new President. At the same time Vice President, Trevor Kirk, decided it was also time for him to focus on other areas and his position was taken up by Bundaberg's CA Chairman, Greg Bath. This now gives Bundaberg a seat on the Executive at Wide Bay, Dr. Bath is a very experienced Football Administrator having served some 18 years within the Sport, as a Club President, FBI Board DIrector, FBI CHairman, FWB Standing Committee Chair and State Senior Men's Committee.
This also now gives excellent coverage of the Zone for Executive, where most CA's now have an Executive of FWB at their CA. This will eliminate suggestions by people that the powerhouse is a specific City or part of the Zone.
